5/3/2020

Covid-19 sounds very similar to covid-19 in Spanish. Just remember to translate the "19" to diecinueve
Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus

        Symptoms of Covid-19

Cough: tos
Shortness of breath: dificultad para respirar
FYI: some patients may describe this as a "sensation of  lacking air": sentir que le falta el aire

Fever:
fiebre
Chills: escalofrios
Repeated shaking with chills- temblores repetidos con escalofríos
Muscle pain: dolor muscular
Headache: dolor de cabeza
Sore throat: dolor de garganta

Loss of smell or taste: Perdida en el sentido del olfato o el gusto

Seeking Medical Attention

seek medical attention immediately when:   pide atención médica inmediatamente cuando....
Persistent pain or pressure in the chest: Dolor o presión persistente en el pecho
Trouble breathing: dificultad para respirar
Bluish lips or face: Coloración azulada en los labios o el rostro
New confusion or inability to arouse: Confusión o dificultad para estar alerta
I'm trying to think of ways that might be easier to do these lessons. Perhaps a podcast? Let me know if you have any suggestions. Saludos y hasta la proxima semana (see you next week!)
