See patients. Study. Chart. Eat. Sleep. Repeat.

I've been feeling under a lot of pressure lately.

Finals? No, I'm on rotations so no finals...just end of rotation (EORs) exams.
Holiday funk? Maybe.
Upcoming global health rotation & travel? Possibly.
Stress of studying medicine & almost being done? Definitely.

Came across an interesting article titled, "Mindfulness Reduces Anxiety Among Medical Students." Thank you, MedScape. If you have time & access to read it, please do. The article outlined a study whereby mindfulness reduced "GAD-7 scores, nervousness, irritability, and worry." It also listed a free online mindfulness based stress reduction (MBSR)  program. It is 8 weeks, with 30 min activities each day. After much reading, I'm giving it a try.

I've never fully committed to a structured meditation or mindfulness program, so this is new for me. My plan is that I will update you on what I learn, new yoga flows, etc.

Follow along, join me, &/or take what you need.

  • Personally my favorite meditation/mindfulness app with 10 free lessons.

Namaste,
